THE 2024 CONFERENCE CALL FOR PROPOSALS IS OPEN!
NCAGT needs your expertise as a presenter at the 2024 NCAGT Annual Conference to be held March 14-15, at the Sheraton Four Seasons and Khoury Convention Center in Greensboro, NC.
The theme of the conference is “Building the Future – Together.”
The children and youth we teach today are those who will shape our future – solving problems, creating new concepts and developing innovative products and services. These are, as Joseph Renzulli had described them, the “people who will contribute to creative innovations in the arts and sciences and to all areas of human endeavor designed to make the world a better place.”
The “together” aspect of the theme relates to the need for all to work collaboratively and support their development – not only educators, but parents, administrators, counselors, psychologists, policymakers, and advocates, as well. The efforts of all of these are needed in this effort.
The NCAGT Conference will be as successful as the quality of the presentations delivered there. Please consider presenting a session at the conference by submitting a proposal describing the skills you have to share or the knowledge and guidance you can offer to those who want to know more about addressing the characteristics and needs of our gifted and talented young people.
The members of the NCAGT Board of Directors hope you will submit your proposal. In
addition, it would be terrific for you to share the call for proposals information with others you
know who are involved in gifted education, encouraging them to consider delivering a
presentation, as well.
The deadline for submitting a proposal is September 30. Notification of the proposals that are
accepted will be confirmed by email by November 3. Notification of proposals not accepted will be provided as well.
