American Association for Gifted Children (AAGC)
The nation's oldest advocacy organization for gifted children, AAGC has published materials for the educational research community, for people in the medical profession, and for parents and teachers of gifted children.     
 

Association for the Education of Gifted Underachieving Students (AEGUS)
AEGUS provides a forum where people can share ideas and interventions that seek to help twice-exceptional students to achieve their full potential.
 

Center for Bright Kids: Regional Talent Center
A regional talent search of the Rocky Mountain states that provides access and opportunities for K-12 students with high interest and/or high ability to quality enrichment and acceleration programming.
 

Center for Gifted Education Policy
Housed in American Psychological Association’s Education Directorate, the center generates public awareness, advocacy, clinical applications, and cutting-edge research ideas that will enhance achievement and performance of children and adolescents with special gifts and talents.     
 

Council for Exceptional Children (CEC)
CEC is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for exceptional individuals, including the gifted as well as the disabled.
 

Duke University’s Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP)
A non-profit educational organization that provides gifted students with innovative programming to support their development.
 

Gifted Education Resource Institute (GERI)
Conducts research regarding the psychology of the gifted and effective educational practices for these individuals.  The institute provides youth talent development programs for high-ability children and teens.

A comprehensive site with resources, articles, books, and links pertaining to gifted education.
 

Human Intelligence
Housed at Indiana University, this site includes biographical profiles of people who have influenced the development of intelligence theory and testing, in-depth articles exploring current controversies related to human intelligence, and resources for teachers.
 

Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Talented Youth (CTY)
CTY is a talent search program that provides an extensive list of individually paced online courses, summer programs, and other resources.  The CTY Talent Search Parent Network allows parents to communicate with each other about their CTY experiences.
 

National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC)
An organization of parents, teachers, educators, other professionals, and community leaders who unite to address the unique needs of children and youth with demonstrated gifts and talents as well as those children who may be able to develop their talent potential with appropriate educational experiences.     
 

National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)
NCES is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data that are related to education in the United States and other nations.
 

Northwestern University Center for Talent Development
An accredited learning center and research facility that serves gifted students.
 

Research on Giftedness and Talent
A Special Interest Group (SIG) of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) dealing with research studies that focus on how giftedness and talent are developed and nurtured. The SIG encourages both international and national studies involving qualitative and or quantitative methods in a wide variety of topics.

SENG: Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG)
An organization providing adults with guidance, information, resources, and a forum to communicate about raising and educating gifted children.
 

Stanford University’s Education Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY)
EPGY develops and offers multimedia computer-based distance-learning courses. High-ability students of all ages can get individualized instruction, which optimized content and pace. 
 

The Association for the Gifted (TAG)
A division of The Council for Exceptional Children, TAG plays a major part in helping both professionals and parents work more effectively with gifted children.
 

The Davidson Institute
Supports profoundly gifted young people and provides them opportunities to nurture and develop their talents. The site houses an extensive database of resources and articles pertaining to gifted education.   
 

The Gifted Development Center
An assessment and counseling center that serves families of the gifted.
 

The Hollingworth Center for Highly Gifted Children
A national support and resource network focused on the needs of highly gifted children.
 

The Institute for Research and Policy on Acceleration (IRPA)
IRPA is dedicated to the study of curricular acceleration for academically talented students.  Teachers can view a variety of resources including policies, reports, bibliographies, and personal stories.
 

The National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented (NRC-GT)
Funded by the Jacob K. Javits Gifted and Talented Students Education Act, this center is a nationwide cooperative of researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and other persons and groups that have a stake in developing the performance and potentials of young people from preschool through postsecondary levels.     

The Office for Civil Rights (OCR)
OCR enforces several Federal civil rights laws that prohibit discrimination in programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance from the Department of Education.
 

World Council for Gifted and Talented Children
A diverse organization networking the globe with an active membership of educators, scholars, researchers, parents, educational institutions, and others interested in giftedness.
